A little too happy an ending but I liked the dog especially when he was called Lloyd, a rather stately name for a noble guy.

I really enjoyed this book. Heartwarming read about a psychologist in her late 30s who loses her husband suddenly, then tries to recover and rebuild. A dog, a retired minister, an old lady, and an anorexic teen girl help her in the healing process. A fast read, very engaging. Sheehan, also a psychologist, definitely has a grip on human nature, although the three chapters written from the dog's POV were the best. ...more
