These are fun young adult/children's books ala Dan Brown. The writing is okay, but the stories are fun, fast paced, and suck you in and you get to review your mythology. The characters are weak, directed to young adolescents, and predictable.... But I knew what I was starting. Actually, Rain got me this series for Xmas because he is reading the Percy Jackson series,and I'm more than happy to read these alongside him. Silly & entertaining.

This is the first book in the sequel series to the Percy Jackson books. Jason wakes up on a school bus with no memory of who he is. Soon he's attacked by storm spirits along with Piper and Leo and they are taken to camp half-blood. Leo is soon claimed by Hephaestus and Piper by Aphrodite but it's not quite clear what's up with Jason. My nephew mentioned this series a few years ago and I've only managed to read one now. What an incredible adventure!
Very well written. It's based on Greek mythology. I do think you would need to read the series in order, since this book (book one) has kind of left me hanging.
