Hmm...I struggle a bit with this. Stargirl herself is pretty great, but as told from Leo's perspective..she just seems relegated to Manic Pixie Dream Girl for junior high readers. Especially with the whole (view spoiler)

Sweet lovely story about being who you are and the conflicting feelings that those true individuals cause for those that love them.
This was a quick and easy read - but a very powerful one.
This book is about being your own person and conformity. Which is more important - the self or group? Spinelli did an absolutely wonderful job at spinning a book that will be relevant for ages. He writes so calculatingly, that despite reading many books on the same topic, I was quickly engrossed and could not put it down.
A definite must read.
