Once started, this wasn't an easy book to keep picking up and continuing. I thought I would enjoy a book about a boy who was in a swim squad, but there is far more to this boy than meets the eye. I found the first half hard going; it was the content that was difficult. The reader isn't spared anything,and it gets pretty dark at times. However the last third seemed to gain momentum, and on leaving a few days to think about it after finishing, there are layers to this book that stay with you. How'
