An interesting look at WWI from an Australian viewpoint, primarily related to medical personnel taking care of the sick and injured.

Whew! This novel was hard to read sometimes due to the harsh realities of the First World War, but I'm glad to have made the effort. I don't know all that much about WWI, which has been rectified after reading Keneally's novel. I imagine that, just like Schindler's List, this book will stick with me for a long time. ...more
