2.5 stars. I see I'm in the minority, but I thought the book was just okay. I didn't really like Brooklyn and I hated the way the book ended up so abruptly. The reader is left with no choice but to read the sequel to get any resolution. I, for one, won't be reading it.
This book would have benefitted from a good editor. Several times a sentence would read, "Me and my friend" or "Me and my fiance." This brings out the grammar snob in me!! The sentences should start, "My friend and I" or "My fiance ...more
