This is an excellent book about slavery. It begins with the slave capture in Africa, covers the middle passage, the slave auction and life as a slave. It is a very moving account of a 15 year old named Amari and her journey in the cruel world of racism. I think the author tells a convincing, dramatic tale based on 10 years of research. I would highly recommend this book. WOW!
