Took a while to get into this book. It was just a bit tiring to to hear Onion repeat various things so often. Repeating how something occurred or what someone did or how they did it. The story seemed a bit monotonous until the last one-third of the book. That part was much more interesting and enjoyable to read. I was even inspired to read and learn more about the Harper’s Ferry attack. Interesting piece of history and the story that McBride told from Onion’s point of view was a creative piece o
