A charming novel in a peppery rhythm and language, it has an unusual structure or arc (to me anyway). Its two parts are related but each has its own climax. I liked it very much for its setting, honesty, humor, and fairy tale-like reality. I've read two books by Marc Fitten and I look forward to more.
