Terrific characters and I loved the descriptions of upstate New York. The mystery was a little light on suspense but thoroughly enjoyable.

Agatha winning author, Julia Spencer-Fleming's first book in the series about Rev. CLare Fergusson and Russ Van Alstyne that takes place in Millers Kill, New York. The relationship between the two main characters is a wonderful story that continues throughout the series. It is best to read them in order to really grasp all the nuances of the characters. ...more

This was an enjoyable mystery. I can see why it was a multiple-award winner. Mystery plot is good and I particularly enjoyed the setting. I like the romantic conflict created in this series too. Try it out Abby!
