One of the things I liked and found interesting about this book is that for a novel most would categorize as "twisty" the overall plot here is deceptively simple. As others have mentioned below, I'm not sure why this book was compared to Gone Girl. And I really can't figure out why it's labeled a thriller, because thrill me it did not. I felt pretty bored through most of the book, wondering when the action was going to start. I never did care much for Jodi or Todd. And the premise that I think the author tried to make (view spoiler) doesn't make sense.
