This will inevitably draw comparisons to Gillian Flynn's Gone Girl based on its plot of a dissolving marriage, after reading both I find them to be very different in tone. This one is much more of an inner-world study, and Jodi's an incredibly compelling character considering that she's hardly a whirlwind of action. A different sort of play on how pe ...more

When this book is described as a "psychological thriller," it's a little misleading. It's much more psychology than thriller. I still read it til the end just for the sake of finishing this book, but surely I will forget it a few months from now :p Also I read this in the midst of a very bad reading slump ...more

Despicable characters and murder. Woo hoo!!! They billed this book as the new Gone Girl. Not sure about that but it did have a twist and the characters had no redeeming qualities. Love it!
