I really liked the way this author writes. Her main character was a 75 year old woman and it is rare for me to find a book where the protagonist is older than me!! I loved the setting of Vermont and the way she described the natural landscape as well as the challenges of living up north. The premise is kind of unique - that after losing her husband she takes in all these younger people who need a place to stay for various reasons.
