I realize Harry Hole is much smarter and more clever than I am, but I wish I had more hints so I didn't have to ready forty or so pages of why he was so clever and I missed all the too suble for me hints that were left. ...more

Harry Hole started to grow on me, and I'm starting to like Nordic Noir more :D

This second book still has some loopholes, a bit slow in some parts, with a few of caricature characters (the setting is in Bangkok and Jo Nesbo has exaggerated some Thailand stereotypes in some parts of the story). But overall this is a pretty solid book, and even a bit better than the first book.

People said Harry Hole stories are keep getting better and I can't wait to delve more into them!
