What Members Thought
This graphic novel is amazing. It details a mother's search for her son who disappeared in the protests surrounding the Iranian election in 2009. These protests kicked off the Arab Spring. I see Iranians from a whole different perspective and learned so much about their politics, religious regime and the people who died fighting for their rights. Wow, I learned so much. This book was recommended to me by 2 of my 9th graders who read it in their English class. I highly recommend it.
