I enjoyed Instructions for a Heatwave by one of my favorite authors: Maggie O’Farrell! The narrator, John Lee, was very pleasant and it was easy to listen to his voice. This novel had a cast of interesting family characters, some dysfunctional ones...big time. It's set in England during 1976, which was during an unprecedented heatwave. Both funny and poignant. I liked how each member of the family was a character in their own right with their own story. Lacked something but I don't know what it was.....but overall I enjoyed it ...more
