First novels can be tricky. There is an adage that every person has one good book in them.Brunt follows the path of other writers in developing a coming of age novel as her inaugural effort. And as first efforts go, this one is good, really good.

This book was boring to say the least. Nothing exciting or intriguing. I would not be interested in reading more books from this author. I believe it would be a good book for high-school age children. I realize my opinion of this book may be based on the fact that I'm an only child & couldn't relate to June or Greta's issues. Ive had no one close to me die from AIDS so I just couldn't place myself anywhere in the story.
