I really loved the idea of this book. So I tried so hard to say with it. And I made it through ALMOST the whole thing before I just couldn't pick it up anymore.

The idea is great. But when I went to read it I found that it went on and on in parts and details that were of little interest. And then seemed to skip through the ideas and parts that I wanted to hear more about.

I absolutely LOVED this book! Maguire's lyrical writing and subtle humor made this a delightful read from cover to cover.

A truly imaginative and wonderfully plotted tale, I have embraced Elphaba in a new and unexpected way (I was never a big fan of Dorothy and her little dog, anyway). Absolutely fabulous, unique and completely engaging; a true test of your ideas regarding good & evil - nature & nurture - God and Free Will ...one I'm sure will be considered a 'classic'.

Now, I *must* read Confes

It took me a couple of times to get into the book, but eventually I did.

Wicked is an interesting book. I have known many people who have read it. I have never heard anyone with a middle of the road opinion. You either love it, or you hate it. Wicked stirs emotions.

I really liked this book. I thought it was cleverly written and an interesting look at the other side.

If it is true everything has two sides than read Wicked and get a totally different take on the Wicked Witch of the West.

I don't normally have a problem with weird, odd, off-beat books - especially in the fantasy genre - but this one... *shaking my head* I couldn't get through it. I made it 22% of the way through, as per my Kobo reader and felt defeated. I didn't like ANY of the characters and quite frankly, I didn't 'get' most of the story he was trying to tell. So... today I consign it to the DNF shelf. ...more
