3.0 stars. I liked this book. I thought it was well written, had a fairly engaging main character and an interesting back story (i.e., a town where all the women have died and all the men can hear each others thoughts or "noise" as they call it). That said, something about it didn't grab me enough to rate it higher than 3 stars. I will read the next book in the series as the quality of the story is certainly there. I just hope for a more compelling narrative now that the world has been properly ...more

I can see all the ways in which this was a really good book and definitely an interesting YA universe/set of characters. Not sure I want to keep reading, though. It might just not be for me.
