I listened to this one, as I do with all of the Nightside books. As usual, the narration by Marc Vietor was really good. He's truly the voice of John Taylor for me. The length of these books is also great for me, as I struggle to focus on longer audiobooks.
Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed with this book. Lilith was definitely suitably threatening, but I think I felt like the book was too scattered. John has to do a lot to combat Lilith, which is understandable, but I kind of felt like ...more

I would say that this is the best book in the series so far. We finally find out exactly what John's mommy dearest is planning and John finally gets rid of her. We meet a lot of characters from previous books but many of them die or their fate is unknown at the end of the book. But at least John and Suzie's relationship is moving forward steadily.

Apocalypse comes to the Nightside.
A very satisfying conclusion to the story arc started in book 1 foretelling the Apocalypse of the Nightside courtesy of john and his mother, Lilith.

Book 4 in the world of Nightside, this is the beginning of a 3 book story arc where John Taylor finally finally sets out to find his long lost mother and in doing so might quite possibly bring about the destruction of the Nightside. The big eye opener is who his mother really is. All I can say is, wow!
