Shelves: own, fantasy-other-spec-fic
Slow, basically boys own adventure where every female is a dumb stereotype and childish yet somehow boys are treated as super grown up. And women are constantly treated as not understandable. Usual sexist tropes. World building is good but this book and series very much needed hard editing. It’s basically man-spreading embodied. Unsurprisingly given the author and era he’s from I suppose.

Having said that, detailed world is interesting. Head hopping POV can be disconcerting. Also -and yeah this ...more
