Recommend to: It's worth continuing the EU if you've made it through the books this far. It isn't a good starting place if you haven't read the earlier books. It might be good to read the comics first if you are planning to, because I'm pretty sure it spoils quite a bit of the early ones.

As the title suggests, this book is setup for the trilogy where Luke is trying to build a new Jedi Order. I think Anderson did a great job with this aspect of the story because it wasn't boring at all. (view spoiler) Pretty much every focus of the story worked pretty well.

The downfall of the book is how many times I would read something and think, "What the heck is he talking about?"
- Glitterstim is far too powerful. I can't remember if I can blame Anderson or not since glitterstim has been in other books, but it is incredibly overpowered in this one. (view spoiler)

I found Jedi Search to be a book that I found interesting pretty much the whole way through, even though I have never liked the character of Luke Skywalker. I found the plot lines to be interesting and original. There are a few corny parts, but there are also a lot of really cool ones. ...more
