My grandma died this week, and I needed a book that would take me far from reality when need be. And Stardust did just that - transported me to a magical land with evil and light that was a perfect distratction.

I saw the movie and loved it but discovered after reading the book that the producers did take some liberties with the script. I still love the movie.
I loved the book and would have recommended it for kids except for the fact that the author added a love scene and one word that was totally unnecessary!
Many people complain that the book seemed rushed or lacking in character development. It is a fairy tale. I grew up reading fairy tales and I think he captured the genre exceptionally well. Don't ...more

I loved this book! Neil Gaiman is a great author with many great stories and Stardust is probably now my favorite of his. It's a nice little fairy tale with enough action, humor and romance and satisfy anyone's needs.
