Listened to this as an audio book, The narrator was very good, it was pretty easy to distinguish the characters dialog change by the voices for that character. This was my second audio book.
I am glad i listened to this rather than read it. Not one of my favorite Gaiman books. It had some weirdness to it, but not enough for my standards. It's a story about the two sons of an ancient god and their struggle with brotherhood, love and overcoming the enemies of their father. Entertaining in the fact that the main character goes from your every day schmuck sort of to a semi-hero. Very enjoyable read. Fun and humorous with the right amount of mystery and intrigue thrown in.
It had some of the same atmosphere as American Gods with certain important differences. With American Gods there were multiple times throughout the book that I just didn't get what was going on. There were also a few spots where the story progression just seemed to stop. It finished out great and I still think its a fantastic book, but Anansi Boys is all that without the dead spots or confusion. ...more

well, I luv Gaiman, and 'American Gods' remains one of my favorite fiction books of all time, but 'Anansi Boys' wasn't all I expected. It was charming and worth the reading time, but I was expecting...I dunno, something more...
