What Members Thought

The very first section where he rises out of the ground in the 20th century hooked me. Then it descended into a long mostly boring description of his early life as the younger son of a penniless french noble. It picks back up when he becomes a vampire. Then I can deal with his whining in the next portion because of the fascinating parts about him learning about his vampire powers.
What I truly like about this book is the story within a story as he traces back and finds the first vampires. Call it ...more
