Love this book. All of dystopian literature pales in comparison
Winston Smith is the protagonist and the rebel against the machine.
Julia is Winston's lover. Strange relationship not sure I understand it.
Big Brother the political party that controls all of Oceania or the New England
O'Brien I guess this is the main bad guy. He tries to trick and capture Winston and Julia
Emmanuel Goldstein the leader of the revolutionist party.

Eye opener about the evils of communism and big-brotherism (which we are currently experiencing some of in the U.S).
