What Members Thought
One of my favorite books hand down. Unlike most modern fantasy, Tolkien is capable of cover a lot of back-story and dialogue without it seeming that boring. That being said, there is a whole lot of action through the story. Any fantasy reader should read this.
I wanted to like this book due to the hype, but I was bored.
Long before the movies, I sat up into the deep of the night, a young kid who had no business being awake, but could not put the books down. This is one of the books that gave me the desire to dream.
Tolkein's writing is freaking annoying.
