What Members Thought
It was ok. That is all I can muster. I skipped a lot of pages, because they could be skipped. I slogged through it. The seris started off strong and seemed to have a lot of potential but then just got bogged down with a lot of crap that didn't need to be in the book. The world with the beings that ride on wheels did not need to even exist. Where was the editor? Fr. Gomez? Why? You never used him why have him? Overall, a brilliant imagination. There were Moments in this book--definite Moments. I can list three, no, four, right off the top of my head. But there are at least a dozen moments that dragged on and on interminably--rather like all the boring Levin bits of Anna Karenina. Maybe I just did not Get those parts, but then again, maybe they just dragged on and on interminably. Still. For those Moments I mentioned at the beginning of this review, I give this book four stars. They were that good.
