5.0 stars. Fantastic sequel to The Golden Compass. The plot is expanded expontentially from the story line of the first book and becomes epic. Fantastic read. Highly recommended!!

Pullman continues this excellent series with Lyra and her daemon, but he focuses quite a bit on Will, a steely-spirited boy who aims to protect his mother and find his father at all costs. Can't wait to finish the series. ...more
