At one point I was going to rate this book a little lower. I was having trouble with some of the narrative, and the book was too easy to put down for extended periods of time. I've tried to figure out why this was, but I'm not really coming up with anything. Perhaps it was the language, and the repetitive nature of the main characters' lives.

But the book finished really strong and it moved me in the end. The last several pages or so, I didn't want to put it down.

This one of the least hopeful YA dystopias I've ever read, which is surprisingly odd; odd because most YA dystopias focus on change and fighting back and a better world and surprisingly because...well...dystopias.

I'm not sure how to respond to this book, though I do get the feeling that it is, somehow, demanding a response (and that maybe said response should not be mediated through a company owned by Amazon, but hey). It's a book that leaves you angry and, like the main character, insisting tha
