A whopper of a yarn, spanning centuries, from the narrator's birth in early 20th Century Kansas City to some indeterminate future. All of Heinlein's favourite hobby-horses have an outing, but some of the writing is still poignant. The only problem I had with it was Lazarus Long giving his own mother "the business". Errk!
