Sunshine is about vampires. And magic. And cinnamon rolls.

I really really wanted to LOVE this book. In the end, I just liked it.

The pluses (and there's a lot)

Part 2 - Started off a bit slow and then really hit it out of the park :)
Part 3 and Part 4 - Incredible

Neil Gaiman said it best: "Pretty much perfect"

and to think I almost didn't read this because I wasn't a fan of Spindle's End. So glad I did!!!

I wish there were half stars, because I'd give this 3.5.

I liked the story, and the alternate reality of the book- magic, vampires, etc. in a realistic setting- but I disliked Sunshine, our protagonist. It's written in the first person, and Robin McKinley did a good job writing in Sunshine's voice (it's written in a different style than other books I've read from her), I just didn't like how it was done. It's an interesting and different vampire tale, and while I'm glad I read it, I think I was e
