Incredibly well written, however, falls short in the realm of science fiction as the story unfolds in todays read as predictable and not very challenging. Back in the day this book was awesome with the predictions. I suppose that is why it is a classic. Sadly some classics are only good based upon the time in which they were written. Doesn't come close to the quality of Asimov, Bradbury, Heinlen, or Sagen.

An entertaining and thought-provoking read from my favourite sci-fi author. There was quite a nice build up of suspense at a couple of different times to keep me interested.

One of the late Arthur C Clarke novels. His imagination and knowledge is amazing and as always makes you really use your imagination to figure out what he was "seeing" when he wrote his books. I've always found his books to be great for discussions, it's a lot of fun to debate what other people perceive of his writings.
