I really liked this second Harry Potter book (Harry Potter and the Camber of Secrets) becasue it has a wonderful mix of
DANGER and MYSTERY:
Harry is locked away in his room becasue his anunt and ucle want him to stay hidden until the guests of a dinner party they are entertaining goes away.
A odd house-elf appears in his room, and warns him not to go to Hogwarts this year. Harry rudely diclines the warning and goes to Hogwarts ANYWAY.
Then the DANGER strikes: students begin turning to stone!
