Ich kann ehrlich gesagt einfach nicht nachvollziehen warum alle so übermäßig begeistert von dieser Reihe sind...
Weder kann ich bei dieser Dreiecksgeschichte mitfühlen, noch mag ich unsere Protagonistin Tessa. Finde sie die meiste Zeit einfach nur schwach und weinerlich.
Die erste Hälfte des Buches war noch dazu nicht gerade spannend, das wurde in der zweiten Hälfte zum Glück besser. Der Plot dieses Buches gefiel mir in diesem Band im Vergleich zu den anderen beiden besser. Auch wenn ich ...more

What a great final to an even greater book series!
I think what impressed me most is actually how Cassandra Clare solved the issue of her protagonist, Tessa, being in love with 2 different boys, Will and Jem. I'm not gonna go into detail here because everyone has to experience this journey on their one if they decided to read this book. But it is definitely one of the main stories in this plot. I love how she shows that it is perfectly acceptable to equally love more then one person. Even tho it ...more

Reread September 2025:
I reread the whole series, and by the time I got to the final book, I was already a little exhausted, and I have to say this book does drag on a bit. But I remember it was one of my favourite books as a teenager, and I still LOVE the characters. I actually think they are the best set of shadowhunter characters. All in all, I really liked this book and this series, although I really can't stand love triangles. But in this case, I really believe Tessa that she loves both of them. I loved how all the strands came together and I especially appreciated the developement of Sophie and Cecily. The epilogue was great too, somehow bittersweet. All I can say: This really got me as a suprise, as I couldn't stand Mortal instruments at all. ...more

Finished the book right up until the epilogue. My best friend instructed me to read the sixth instalment with Clary and Jace first and then the epilogue 😄 but all in all better than expected
