What Members Thought

I just turned the last page on CALL ME IRRESISTIBLE, and it was a completely enjoyable read, down to the last word. As a former Texan, I so loved SEP's descriptions of small-town Texas and its women. I feel like I knew the Wynette ladies personally--Birdie, Torie, Kayla, etc--and had probably even pledged my sorority at UT-Austin with some of them! The book kicks off when president's daughter, Lucy, gets talked out of her wedding to perfect Ted by best pal Meg. You'd think that would be the star

Not one of the best books I've read, but it was definitely possessed the quirky Susan Elizabeth Phillips humour. I loved the scene where the mattress falls on top of her.
things I didn't like
1. they had sex way to soon it didn't draw out the sexual tension.
2.Ted Beaudine was so perfect it was completely unappealing he was like a god I know it establishes he is far from perfect but man oh man was he annoying.
3. SEP characters that are all perfect and beautiful is really staring to annoy me ( it's ...more

I have to say it... I love Susan's books, and maybe I'm no too objective (but I do my best xD)....
I really love this book. Now, Meg is one of my favorites heroines. Like in another book of Susan, Meg is very insecure... She's a little bit spoiled, brat, and kind of screwup (but she really doesn't see herself very well)... And now she's so close to be a vagrant. Her parents are big stars, both of them are Hollywood's famous, and she have had to live in their shadows for thirty years (a lot o ...more

Call Me Irresistible isn't always an easy read. (I should know, since I've read it three times so far. Okay, so I read it once and listened to it twice--same difference.) There are things I love about this book, things that are just okay, and things I have a hard time with. Luckily, there's a fantastic ending that makes up for a lot of what has happened before it--really, a lot of my four star rating rests on the strength of that kick-butt conclusion.

Love this book that brings many past characters together. Meg is such a strong woman and Ted finally finds himself. Great book.....couldn't put it down.

Call Me Irresistible, another Susan Elizabeth Phillips book I couldn't put down. Just like her last book I devoured this in a day and a half. The characters being my favorite part. Each oozing with their own personal characteristics. i love how Susan begins a story of two people obviously perfect for one another who can't seem to get past their mutual hatred to one another. This love story had me hanging on every word. Something I recommend as a "must read."

Oh my gosh, Susan Elizabeth Phillips still has IT! Funny, romantic, wacky, sad--every emotion wrapped up into a great story. This book was worth the wait. :)
