2020 review:
stopped at chapter 4. I don’t have the strong urge to continue reading and decided to go straight to read spoilers by other people. I don’t really like historical romance with the mystery genre mixed in but I liked Lisa’s books and decided to give it a try. But nope it just wasn’t for me. I got bored.

Since I’m re-reading some of Lisa Kleypas’ books, I decided to give this one another try. Surprisingly, I had more patience for this than in 2020. ...more

Okay.. delightful! Now just imagine being rescued by Grant Morgan.. phwoar!! You're minutes from death and freezing cold and suddenly Grant picks you up and carries you all the way to his bedroom in his arms, where he proceeds to cut off your wet clothes - showing absolutely no chivalry at all - and tucks you between his sheets.. Damsel, check!!
Amnesia.. love it.. its like starting a book with a character fresh off the drawing board, then gradually adding a bit here and a bit there.. Some parts ...more

This is kind of a hard review to write simply because I don't know how to say what I want to say. This book wasn't bad, but it wasn't as good as a normal LK book. Had this book been written by anyone else I probably would have given it 4 stars. But I have such high expectations for LK that this one fell a little short. Having just read Smooth Talk Stranger and Jack Travise, which ended up being one of my favorite LK reads, Someone to Watch Over Me didn't live up to what I wanted.
