First off, I have to say that I LOVED Pushing the Limits. I was excited to read this one, but I was expecting that it probably wouldn't be as good for me, as I just loved Noah and Echo! I was right, it wasn't as good, but it was still awesome, and I loved the read!

This is a dual POV story between Ryan and Beth. Beth was Noah's good friend in Pushing the Limits. Ryan is a whole new character. Beth tries to help her mom and ends up with a baseball bat trying to hit the disgusting boyfriend, Trent. ...more

I'm a fan of McGarry's books and Dare You To is no exception its such a brilliant read! She writes with such heart stopping emotion, that I felt like I knew Beth and Ryan.
This book, is the story of Beth, from Pushing the Limits and baseball player, Ryan.
Beth's home situation is a mess, she lives with her aunt, but her real family are Noah and Isaiah. These three have each others back and look out for each other. Unfortunately due to Beth's alcoholic mother, Beth's arrested for a crime she didn't commit. Now Beth is forced to leave the city, and leave everything and everyone behind, or her uncle Scott will make sure her mother goes to prison. Beth is confronted with a whole new world, one where shes not in control , one where she must live by strict rules or her mother will suffer.
Beth's Uncle becomes the strict parent she's didn't know she needed in her life but he also provides her with the family love she's been missing out on too.
Ryan's world is more privileged, but is family life is just as dysfunctional as Beth's, he just has more options.
I really liked Beth she was very nice to like, her attitude and one liners made me like her instantly ... Ryan on the other hand was just whiny, he so needed to grow a pair...

Beth and Isaiah:
Alright so Beth and Isaiah have been best friends for a long time. In Pushing the Limits we find out that Isaiah has it bad for Beth and they make out and yatta yatta. In Dare You To Beth finally finds out how Beth feels. Here is the thing that ticked me off and really this made me dislike her for the rest of the book, well one of the reasons. 4.5 stars....mainly because of Ryan

Another re-read for me. Story wise I liked Pushing the Limits (yep another change for me after reading it for the second time) but chemistry between the two MCs I liked this one better. Ryan was just PERFECT! And yup I agree with Beth that she and Isaiah wouldn't work out.....

I liked this more than the first one. Yeah there were times I wanted to smack Beth for her stubbornness but when she let her walls down, she's a sweet and damaged girl and I can't help but ...more

It was fun and all, but when all is done and read I don't think it's the kind of good that makes you remember it days later and think "ahh I would've liked to be her" or "I would like that guy to be mine" and etc, which is what we all think when we come across those perfect books that would stay with us at least for a long time if not forever.
