I would give this 3.5/5 since I did enjoy it a bit more than Pushing the Limits. Mostly I preferred Beth and Ryan as characters. They were more real and relatable. I found Echo's history in Pushing the Limits too extreme and over-the-top and it felt like her tragic story was being used to try to push sympathy onto us in order to care for her, instead of caring for her because of who she was. This was a good book but it just didn't grab me the way Pushing the Limits did. I identified to a degree with the main characters but they didn't seem to have the spark that Noah and Echo did. Also, the ending seemed too abut…. ...more

Riveting and filled with such deep and flawed characters, Katie McGarry has not failed in blowing me away.

Review to come.
