Are you a fan of Greek Mythology ? Love to read the tale of Persephone and Hades ? The one where Persephone found herself captured by Hades and then after a certain amount of time decided whether her life was to spent in the Underworld with Hades or on Mount Olympus. Reading Everneath by Brodi Ashton reminded me alot of the books "Abandon" by Meg Cabot and "Goddess of Spring" by PC Cast as they both contain their version of a contemporary rendition of the Greek mythology of Persephone and Hades. ...more

It definitely had many elements that have been seen in YA paranormal fiction books before with the supernatural and a love triangle in it, but even though it did have those elements in it, it was still different and unique with its own story to tell without having me rolling my eyes while reading this saying "oh here we ago again. When I started reading this book, I had something specific in my mind that I wanted to read at the time. So as shameful as I am to admit I flipped to the end saw how it started and was like "WHAT THAT IS NOT WHAT I WANTED TO HAPPEN" I said this w/out actually reading at least two chapters. I won't give away anything.
