The idea and story of this book is extremely unique and it's strongest feature. It kept me guessing and it was a constant learning process, to understand what had happened to Nikki, what would happen next, and the rules of the everneath.
The romance was sweet but not totally swoon-worthy. It was not very intense until the very end, although I was always Team Jack, and I loved the ending. I am an HEA fan all the way. I usually prefer to avoid sadness in my books, but the ending of this gave us the ...more

What a fun way to be reintroduced to Greek mythology. This book was both mysterious and entertaining, with just the right amount of suspense, adventure, and romance. Although a majority of the story focuses on loss, which could have been depressing, it was surprisingly hopeful, never falling in danger of making me want to put the book down until it was finished. This book (along with the "Unearthly" series by Cythina Hand) has made me reassess my perception of the paranormal romance book genre.

I have to start this off by saying Everneath is amazing. The love story between Jack and Nikki is beautiful and sweet. It is impossible not to root for them. Jack never gives up hope for Nikki even when she literally disappears off the face of the earth and they have loved each other since childhood.
Everneath is an unusual take on the Persephone myth with creatures that live forever but are forced to suck the life out of people to do so. We get glimps ...more

Meh. I have mixed feelings about this book. I'll probably read the next and I like the characters, enough. It didn't win me enough to pay $11.99 for the nook version of it because "I have to read it now!!!" like I get with some sequels. I'll probably wait for a sale before I pick up the next installment.

Okay, I really, really enjoyed this book. LOVED both Cole and Jack, which is saying a lot because I'm SOOOOOOooooOOOOOO sick of love triangles, but I actually didn't mind this one. I also had a much harder time deciding which guy to cheer for, but I think I'm Team Jack.
