A sweet story of young star-crossed love that also manages to be creepy as hell.
Seriously, where were the YA books like this when I was in high school!!
Aside from graphic depictions of what it must be like to be chewed on by wolves, what upset me the most was the main character's parents. They were just awful! Not abusive, just criminally selfish, immature and neglectful. Not that I am a perfect parent myself, but I like to think I would at least know if my daughter were...you know...doing it wi ...more

This might be more of a 3.5/5. It was really nice and sweet in the Matched and Die for Me sort of way. And it had a great ending. I am an all or nothing kind of girl when it comes to endings, and luckily it gave me everything.

I avoided this book for a long time because I was burnt out from the teen paranormal romances. I bought it yesterday because the store had a special: buy Shiver and get Linger for $1. I couldn't pass that up. I was pleasantly surprised. There wasn't too much angst from any of the characters. Grace has a good head on her shoulders, probably because her parents tend to ignore her. Another story of a nerdy, basically friendless girl (her 2 bestest friends seemed to be friends of convenience) falling for a paranormal boy. I didn't hate the story, but it was too slooooww and I didn't love the romance.
I finished the series and in hind sight would I read it again? Maybe. There were some good moments (like the 2nd book), but overall a disappointment of a YA romance and werewolf series. I expected much better given the high ratings.

Can't even say I finished the book. I got about halfway and got sick of how much this book felt like Twilight. Disappointing since the author's series about Faerie were fantastic.

I adore Sam and Grace. And I'm also very pleasantly surprised (and let's face it, more than a little relieved as well) but how much I enjoyed it. Must read Linger now!
