I love all the plot twist and though Rose and Lissa's relationship is a bit odd and I hate how Rose treated Christian this was an awesome book. I don't like Lissa and but the rest of the characters I adore. I figured out who was behind all the incidents but I always do so it wasn't "predictable." It was actually a twist.

Finally a book took the time and developed a romantice relationship which is so rare in YA. But Rose's and Dimitri's feeling developed at a realistic pace and it happened as we r ...more

okay, so i feel bad rating this book. It's alomst unfair. I have read so many vampire based books within the past year, I'm getting a little burned out. If I had read this before some of the others, it would have gotten a higher rating, I believe; But, I am just rating it as it is to me now.
That being said,this series is written a bazillion times better than the 'house of night' series and is not just a big love story like twilight.

I had just finished the Twilight series and was doubtful about finding another book just as good.. Richelle Meads book Vampire Academy is awesome! It has got to be one of the best book I have ever read, I might even go as far as saying it could be considered better than Twilight?>? I like them both and can't possibly pick between them...
