As usual, I enjoyed this good science fiction tale. Weber did a nice job of character development. I wasn't sure what to expect, knowing that this is only the second of eight, or more, books, each 500 pages long. That is a lot of room for plot development. I was happy with how much was accomplished in this book. I'm looking forward to reading book three in the Safehold series. ...more
