This book was one of the best. In fact, it is second only to Spider's Revenge where Gin and Mab Monroe finally had their showdown. This book had all the things that I enjoy in this series: good fighting scenes, interesting villains, a good crime mystery, good teammate work and a final twist setting up the next book.

Deidre Shaw is back in Ashland with her eye on Finnegan "Finn" Lane. Meanwhile Gin's trying to find a way to tell Finn about his mother but loses her chance in a failed robbery. Deidre tells Finn that she's his mother looking for a second chance to know him. Gin and company are not so keen on Deidre or Mama Dee Dee as Finn appears to be. I love these books. They are a fun, easy read and I love the characters. This book is Finn's story about his mother told from Gin's point of view. Even though you know things are going to end badly, you still want Finn to have his happily ever after with Mama Dee.
As always, the book ends with another cliff hanger -- the beginning of the next book. Can't wait to read Unraveled to find out the next piece in the Gin saga. August can't come soon enough! ...more
