Another strong read in a series that hasn't let me down yet. Mercy is the MAN..she can do it all....

My Thoughts:

Patricia Briggs is one of the few UF author's out there that has a good handle on the PNR aspect of her stories. The other two are Ilona Andrews and Chloe Neill. In Frost Burned we know our H/H are together from previous books but you can still feel that romance and love..and how it goes to a different level now that they are married. Fabulous job. PB grows her stories like she grows her children, with love and guidence you can feel it...no detail skipped, the characters mature and change and grow. There are no sudden personality changes just natural changes that life will wear on a person.

The story is fresh and new with the characters we all love and hate back but not not repetitive in any way. It was great seeing a few of the more minor characters step up and that some of the "older" characters fall back into the background. Great way to keep the fresh story new but have that spice of home still there with what I call having a "guest appearance" hey no haters I'm a kid of the TV generation LOL.

We learn more about Mercy and her talents and how coyote is still having an influence and that there are still untapped powers. All round I can't rave enough over this book. I totally enjoyed it. IF you haven't read this series...then you need to count those pennies and go buy all 7 books it is well worth the money spent.

4.5 Gold Stars (cause you don't wear silver near werewolves) and a thumbs up for interracial marriages..werewolves...coyotes...<===GET IT?? ROTFL...I slay me:)

This has always been a series that I like, but I don't love it as much as a lot of people seem to. This installment was no different in that respect. The book started off quickly and, while the pace did slow a bit around the halfway mark, the plot always remained intriguing. I liked getting to see some of the pack members (and Stefan) again after their absence in the last book. Mercy Thompson Hauptman is trying to do some early Christmas shopping with her stepdaughter Jesse. After being in a car accident, she's unable to reach anyone who is pack which worries her. The Columbia Basin Pack as whole go missing only brief text message from Bran gives Mercy much needed information. Adam doesn't know what these kidnappers want but it's surely nothing good.
