I desperately NEED the next book in this series. Ms. Saare, please write quickly. I love Rhiannon and I honestly think she may rival Cat from Night Huntress for most kick-ass heroine. She is such a bad ass and yet so vulnerable at the same time. Parts of this book had me in tears and I love both Disco & Paine. *sighs*

So Book 3 picks up with a visit from Gabriel(Disco) & Paine's sire Marius(aka dickhead). Word has spread through the vampire and half demon community about the way Rhiannon defeated ...more

Another good installment in the Rhiannon's Law series. In this, the third book of the series, Rhiannon is now back in our time but things between her and Disco are really going poorly. As a result she is also on bad terms with the rest of the family. Rhiannon is feeling bereft and alone. Disco and Paine aren't doing much better.

Rhiannon, Disco and Paine are trying to put the pieces back together when another crisis is thrown their way. Disco's maker Marius is on his way to town and he's angry. As a result she is also on bad terms with the rest of the family. Rhiannon is feeling bereft and alone. Disco and Paine aren't doing much better.

Rhiannon, Disco and Paine are trying to put the pieces back together when another crisis is thrown their way. Disco's maker Marius is on his way to town and he's angry. He has something he wants from Rhiannon and he won't take no for an answer. Worse yet Marius's maker, who is a brutal half demon, has said he will be coming too if Rhiannon doesn't cooperate.

Disco and Paine are in a panic because they cannot seem to make Rhiannon understand how bad things will be if she does not cooperate. What follows is a dark and sometimes sad story that shows how truly evil the vampire leaders can be.

I loved Disco and Paine, as usual, and we see our heroes really put through the ringer in this book. The "bad" vampires were really well done. They were cruel and brutal and the author makes their scenes true horror story style scenes.

This now brings me to Rhiannon. I loved her in the first two books. She was an independent, kick butt heroine who made the best of whatever was thrown at her. In this book her stubbornness pushes her dangerously close to the "too stupid to live" heroine that I so dislike. Over and over again she is given warnings about what will happen if she doesn't listen and she just pushes them aside. It's not until she's destroyed everyone she supposedly loves that she stops and says "Oh maybe I should have listened". I did not feel like the storyline gave her strong enough reasons to be refusing Marius and his maker. I wanted to feel like she had a horrible choice to make & no matter what she chose it would be wrong. Instead I just wanted her to hand over the item & move on to fight another day. I felt like Rhiannon's reasoning came across as selfish & immature.

There were a few big surprises at the end. One I hated and one I liked a lot. The author set the stage for the story to take a dramatic turn and the future story possibilities are endless. Despite my annoyance with Rhiannon in this book I will defiantly read the next one to see where this story is going.

Rhiannon saves the day, and the world, in the last book. Only to be betrayed by the very person that she laid down her life for. In all honestly things were not off to a good start for me and I have very mixed feelings about this book.

The first half just dragged on for me. Saare does a good job showing how much Disco regrets his actions, but I feel like Rhiannon would have taken books to get over it. The fact that she loves Disco enough to forget her own comfort is great progress, but I didn't Rhiannon saves the day, and the world, in the last book. Only to be betrayed by the very person that she laid down her life for. In all honestly things were not off to a good start for me and I have very mixed feelings about this book.

Sorry, it hasn't been that long that they've been in a relationship and I don't think the books have conveyed enough emotions.

No one mentioned to Rhiannon when she had to choose a vampire group to become a member—servant—that demons ruled the houses. Scary demons. Kitty-eating-human-feasting-hell-spawn-of-the-lowest-depths-of-hell demons. This book is dark, creepy dark. Rhiannon gets shoved down the road of serious fear, pain, and loss. From the title it was clear the "ripple effect" from fate being altered would be happening, it was also clear who would have to die in Disco's place. Maybe there should have been some breather time, space to adjust and let characters grow. This book just kept shoveling the tragedy out. The problem was the books are so fast paced that only the first book has true character growth.

What I really dislike is when some kind of supernatural force alters the characters personality, and I can't tell. They're acting just as stubborn and stupid as I thought they would normally. Yeah, never a good thing. Rhiannon grows in this book? Yes. She realizes that life is too short without love. However, she doesn't learn to be smart. But I also stand by her decisions to not give up all her weapons to a demon.

In the end despite Saare's mad skills I feel like this series is tittering on the edge of a cliff. It's either going to fall off it's game or find a decent pace. Which might be hard because all hell is going to be after Rhiannon, there's going to be an uprising in the supernatural world of vampires, and Rhiannon needs to free an angel from hell to get it's protection or loose her life to it. Smack down to the ruling houses of demons is coming, and boy am I eager to see it!

Sexual Content: Very dark and scary things . . . nothing is explicit, but it’s dark.

3/5- Adored it, just a few minor details held it back.

I loved the first 30% - I couldn't put the book down, but then the plot began to drag out mercilessly. Nothing significant happened - the whole chapters were filled with everyone warning Rhiannon that Disco's sires are oh-so-dangerous and Rhiannon being stubborn and unreasonable. 4.5 ★ really...and I only took off half a star because I felt lost at the beginning of this one. Not sure why, but it took me a while to get my bearings. Once I did though, this really took off. Some great action and plot development here...can't wait for book 4! ...more
