I really enjoyed the first one, and felt the same about this.

I'm a sucker for anything that has anti heroes or villains as the main characters, so this book pretty much fits the bill.

It's funny though, because if I didn't enjoy the characters and their relationship so much, my rating would probably be lower, as the plot with Antonio feels very much like a side plot and it's a shame there isn't more of the strange 'baddies' as she calls them. Pretty much, it focuses on Damiana and her guys.

I'm not sure why this book was even written.

The end of Friend's with Monsters started to get a bit messy... plot meandering, character regression, etc... but I had high hopes the 2nd half of the duet would deliver the ending of a good story.

Nope.

There was no plot, just a bunch of filler and hastily finished story that left so many plot strings hanging I can barely find my way out. The author clearly had an idea but failed to outline her story and the execution suffered. I went from "I'm readin ...more

2 Star = Finished. Didn’t really enjoy.
3 Star = Finished. Story was neither good nor bad.
