I've come around to being a fan of Ruby Dixon. I love how ridiculous some of her books can be and I always laugh -- this book is no exception. This is also one of the longest books she's written (I think) and one of the longest books I've read this year, yet I wasn't bored while reading it. In fact, I had a hard time putting to down.

A Vintage Spectacular fantasy romance
This was one of our RH group non-rh buddy reads And I absolutely loved it! Vintage because Ruby has had it in the making since 2017 ! Bless her hubby for making her book in the time to finish it! It was slow burn but teased you mercilessly, steaming sexy times and the humour of the FMC was priceless laugh out loud banter! There is female camaraderie which I always love to see plus a team all working together to sacrifice themselves for one goal to serve and t ...more

I drive long distances daily and I listened to the audiobook. The performance on the audiobook was great. The book was long and I appreciated the world building, it made me laugh several times. I highly recommend this book (especially in audio)

Super fun and classic Ruby Dixon but with amped up storyline and world-building
Faith volunteers to be an anchor for the battle god, Aron. An anchor is someone that'll guide and teach human life lessons to their god. Aron has been punished by his father and is now bound to the world and is arrogance personified. Together they go on a journey of violence, life lessons, laughs, and so much dirty talk and they end in a satisfactory HEA.

I think I’m going to be adding Ruby Dixon to one of my favorite authors. I’ve read enough of her books, majority of them rated high, for me to make this assessment.
Once again, I’ve noticed mix feelings demonstrated in the reviews. Some enjoyed it and others thought it was too long. I think if we’re going to be fair, it’s a bit of both.
This was new experience for me as a fan of RD. Why? Well this book was WAY longer than any of her other stories. And I think the hero was vastly different from oth ...more

It's like a completely different person wrote this story, compared to Ruby Dixon's Ice Planet Barbarian Series and Dragon Series.
I am pleasantly surprised. I loved the characters, the journey, worldbuilding, setting, plot, the slow burn romance, the reluctant anchor tied to god turned partners turned friends turned cuddle buddies turned lovers. Holy Fantasy Romance Batman!
I loved this! No, I don’t think you understand. I freaking LOVED this book. I love Fantasy and I love Romance but I have very rarely enjoyed a Fantasy Romance like this. Gah! My heart! If you need an escape full of adventure with an arrogant but swoon-worthy Battle God of Storms (and trust me, you do), pick this one up!
