I really enjoyed reading this again and loved it even more.
Lily Bart- beautiful, intelligent, charming- is trapped like a butterfly in the inverted jam jar of wealthy New York society.
Lily loves the finer things in life but when her Father is ruined life won't be the same.
The choices Lily makes leads to her downfall and the dramatic ending.
Edith Wharton writes beautifully and I was engrossed in this book.
If you haven't read any of her books this would be a good one to start with.
